i’ve been working on some finishing touches for a girl’s room. this little project will take less than 5 minutes, and if you have a dollar store nearby, you can do it for a couple of dollars . less, if you have supplies already on hand.
supplies used:
– decorative ribbon
– decorative miniature clothespegs
– needle (optional, depending on thickness of ribbon/size of clothespeg hole)
– scissors
thread the ribbon through the coiled wire of the clothespeg. you can see it here just to the left of the pink flower:
snip the ends of the ribbon, leaving enough to tie or tack into place, wherever you’d like for it to go.
i just tied it to the brackets underneath the shelf:
above the desk:
it wont take long before the little display is filled with lovely doodles of bumble bees, flowers, and killer sharks.

I have some of these tiny cloths pins and I use them to keep my yarns/flosses grouped correctly… I didn’t think about decorating them. Very cute idea.

That is so adorable!
i’d forgotten about some of these old posts! thanks for reading into the archives and reminding me of some fun projects from the past.
You are welcome! This is totally something that I want to do when my daughter gets older. Actually, we could probably do something like this now and put it up in our kitchen or something. Her and her little brother do so many adorable little things!
i have one hanging in my dining room (with larger clothespins) and i use it to hang up artwork that comes home. it’s a fun way to get them involved in displaying their work.
