a bit of this…

…details tomorrow.
a bit of that…

…details later this week.
and a little slice of this…

no details, the evidence is all gone! ;-)
lots to share, but i’ll leave you with a pretty little thing in my yard, which carries a pretty strange name…

a little bit of info about the spotted deadnettle:
- scientific name: Lamium maculatum
- variety shown above in photo is “pink chablis”
- member of the mint family
- low-maintenance perennial ground-cover that grows and spreads quickly
- part to full shade; tolerates sun
- deadhead flowers (more about deadheading later this week) to encourage dense growth after the first bloom
- may have received its name because leaves are similar in shape to the stinging nettle but without the toxic effects
