after posting my mosaic disaster, a dear reader suggested i submit it to craft fail. it was accepted and posted yesterday. hooray? ;-)
bad crafts make you really appreciate the good ones.
i’ll leave with one last thought here. and it’s something i have struggled with in the past. but i think it’s universal to anyone who creates, artistically or otherwise. i don’t know who to give credit to for this visual, but if you are out there, let me know. i can’t make out the fine print in the bottom-most line…i hope it’s not sponsored by some organization that traps cute bunnies and sells them to a slave ring or something horrible. i’d hate to be spreading their propaganda unknowingly.

It’s a good thing. :) I find I’m actually happy when things fail these days because I have an outlet for posting them anyway… and it’s cathartic to make people laugh with my mistakes.
And I just wrote an article at CROQzine.com about not working for free. Very cool visual – thanks!
i just read it, well said. here’s the link for anyone interested… http://croqzine.com/?p=1690
Ahhh, you made it to craft fail. Now you’re a superstar!
It looks like that poster came from an artist named Linsey Burritt. At least the that’s who is thanked for it here:http://visualarmory.tumblr.com/post/722526359/for-real-thanks-linsey. It could just be that she sent the link originally and the art belongs to someone else.
I can’t make out the first couple of letters on the web address but the bottom line says “A Manifesto for Change. For more information visit http://www.????designer.com“. I’ve been trying to figure it out – I love a challenge. Anyway, I haven’t come across any fluffy bunny killers in my search for a designer. So far.
alright! i have somebody on the case then! ;-) i’m sure we’ll figure it out eventually.
as for linsey, it’s funny. i e-mailed andy luce (the guy behind visual armory) just the other day asking him if i could use the awesome graphic, and he said “it’s not mine”… that it was forwarded to him by a friend. linsey, i presume. the plot thickens…
p.s. superstar! (thx for the suggestion, heather has some fun blogs)
I thought it said IAmDesigner.com, but I can’t seem to find any such website. How intriguing!
p.s. your mosaic entry is so funny! I think it’s important to be able to accept our own occasional fails. :o) After all everyone does it.
