the temperature has been tickling the freezing point in the evenings. and i think my little garden has given me everything it’s going to give me this year. which has been quite a lot.

I only got about 2 or 3 little cherry tomatoes all year. I think it got way too hot and dry here. Glad your garden did well for you :)
Oh I like that green pepper! Ours tried, they really did, but didn’t make it. Next year, I’ve told myself, will be better.
Ah, bittersweet moment! Aren’t homegrown tomatoes so much better than any others? Wish ours had done better this year, but we just had too much rain and too little sun for a bit.
i think i got a good dose of beginner’s luck this year. great weather, and very little in the way of pests and disease. we’ll see what next year brings.
allysa ~ absolutely! even local, on-the-vine tomatoes don’t taste as good as homegrown. we had ours on a salad today.
Isn’t it amazing how much food a little patch of ground can produce? So satisfying to eat the fruits of your own labour.
