last time, i mentioned i had made a place-holder for my ravelry account. if you’re not sure what i’m talking about, ravelry is a free online community for knitters, crocheters and pretty much all yarny enthusiasts. it started out as a way for the founding member, a blogger, to keep track of all the patterns and ideas floating around on the web. it has grown in popularity throughout the world and they recently hit 1 million users — wow! mark zuckerberg, do you knit? you may want to consider it…
there are tools on ravelry to help you keep track of current and future projects. when you enter a new project, there is a blank space with “no feature photo” written across it. very blah. so i’ve made these images that can be uploaded as place-holders until a proper photo can be taken.
what’s that? you did not just say “you have too much time” did you? good…. i’m watching you.
just a bit of fun…

for those top-secret projects…

[as for the sheep on the right, talk about a bad hair day (i can relate).]
and finally, when things go wrong and you have to unravel a project, you can classify it as “frogged.” at least now you have a cute image to take away the sting a little bit.

you’re welcome to use and share these for your projects on ravelry.
as i was writing this, i noticed that this is my 150th post. if you’ve made it this far with me, through 50 and 100, you’ll have learned by now that i don’t have any giveaways or over-the-top celebration of that milestone. maybe at 200? (don’t get your hopes up)…
you just have my sincerest thanks for reading (or should i say enduring?). if you’ve told others about this blog, then you get bonus points! towards nothing in particular. again, sorry… ;-) this is, however, one of the last remaining ad-free places on the web! other than when i’m trying to sell you on my sense of humour, or on the fact that hand-knit socks really are better than store-bought, there are no advertisements or hidden agendas. and that’s all intentional. that’s gotta be worth something right? i’m just waiting to make it big and sell out to the highest bidder… told ya, no hidden agendas here! nor fiscally viable business plans, either, it seems. hmm. might need to re-think all this…
happy thanksgiving to those who are celebrating, happy thursday to all the rest, and don’t forget, the archive dive is still on this friday! in technicolour! (not really)

Congrats on 150 posts Ana…the beauty of blogging is that we each get to do it just as we please…thank you for sharing always interesting info…your sheep are super. I wrote a great comment and forgot to fill in the ‘Required fields’ and lost it
do you know how I can save my info, it asks me each time…
this second comment is not flowing like the first one!
Thank you for the Thanksgiving wishes…Happy Thursday and I am looking forward to your archive dive on Friday.

hi patty, thanks for letting me know. i’m sorry that happened. do you have your cookies turned off by any chance? otherwise, it should remember you when you come back. so all this time you’ve been entering your info again and again? you deserve a trophy or something! let me know if you’re still having trouble.
ok, would it be weird if i admit one of my *favorite* things to draw (and one of my favorite animals) is fluffy little sheepies with black faces & tails?
yeah, weird. so i didn’t say that.
it’s enough to make me want to knit.
bah.
Hee hee, the frog! Congrats on 150 posts. :D
Oooo, I love these :) Perfect little place holders. Thank you for sharing.
Oh Ana… you are so talented with your doodles :) Love ‘em!
Love these, Ima. Gonna swipe ‘em. :)
I put them on y Flickr photostream so I can easily link to them from Ravelry – is that OK? If not, I will totally remove them or make them private. I credited you with a link back to this post, of course.
totally fine bonnie, thanks!
Thanks for sharing your images. I already used the one you put up the other day. :) It is so nice of you to share so freely.
Thanks for the Thanksgiving wishes.
oh those little sheep are so cute! I love them!
Congratulations on 150 posts =)
Go Ravelry! Thanks for the placeholders Ana. I love having them, because my project page looks so bare without something in the photo spot.
I do not knit or crotchet but these made me giggle, especially the last one. Maybe because that is how I feel most days lol
These are awesome illustrations! I love the style and cute factor ;)
xoxo
I love those sheep. Borrowed one for one of my projects, thank you for making them available to us.
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog earlier this week and commenting on those books I found — I love the illustrations, too! Your blog is cute — I’ll be back and I hope you will be, too!
woohoo on 150 posts. i love that last sheep illustration in particular. it made me laugh a lot.
that one is my favourite too. poor sheep. poor frog. neither like the predicament they’ve found themselves in… i can so relate.
thanks for the lovely comments everyone. i had a ridiculous amount of fun making them. it’s so cool to see people using them already. enjoy!
Love them! Thanks for sharing!
Cutest sheep ever! Here’s to your next 150 posts – I look forward to reading every single one. :-)
