In case anyone is wondering, I make their Halloween costumes every year. :) They were the cutest little tigers that year!
i don’t wonder. i just assume you make everything always ;)
I love making Halloween costumes even though I can’t sew very well. My son was a scarecrow this year and his costume was so adorable (and it cost 50 cents). Unfortunately, I have to admit that the kids usually get more goos and gahs about the Old Navy costumes that get handed down. It really makes me sad that the Halloween tradition of making or piecing together costumes is a lost art. :( My daughter’s hand made monarch costume a few years back was pretty darn good, but my son got all of the attention in a fuzzy caterpillar we borrowed.
i do know what you mean. sometimes, i wonder if it’s the younger kid cute-factor at play with the oohs and ahhs though? i hope? half the fun of hallowe’en is making the costume.
now i’m determined to do a roundup of homemade (some no-sew) costumes here for next hallowe’en. if anyone has got some photos or blog posts, share them with me. i refuse to believe that the handmade tradition is a lost art! :)

I don’t have many photos of myself on my blog – you know, I’m the girl behind the camera. But this scarf I had to model though, (my 3 year old or my husband didn’t match the look I was going for ;). The season is just right for this one too ;)

hey alyssa, you almost missed all the fun. i’m glad you like the archive dives. this week’s was especially fun for me, glad you snuck in at the end there ;) thanks for contributing the topic, i think it has been the most popular one yet.
Such a hard choice since most things I post about are handmade. Food? Knitting? Sewing? Other Crafts? I tried to dive a little a deep though and opted for something that is pretty quick to do if someone is looking for some gift ideas yet.
