it was one of those cozy, stay-at-home, put-up-the-tree, cuddle-up-with-coffee, finish-a-few-projects, light-the-first-fire, tuck-the-kids-in and watch-the-snow-fall kind of weekends.
it was just perfect. (i’m going to pretend i didn’t step out into the mad world of shoppers for an hour or so on sunday, what the heck was i thinking?!)
as for the words in the photo above, i’ll share how i made them next time.
how’d your weekend go?

My weekend was just the same (minus the fire ’cause we don’t have a fireplace-not even a fake TV one this year because we still haven’t hooked up cable-must get that DVD of the fire log-must also think about an entry for Santa since we’re having Christmas in our own home this year). I left the house once to go to the tree farm. I made that mistake of going into the mall last weekend just to take Joey out for a cinnamon bun. We were dressed in snow gear after playing at the park and I too had that thought. What were we thinking? Especially with everyone else all dolled up in city people clothes. Great cinnamon bun, though. Tonight we watched Jim Carrey’s Grinch movie and Jaks said, “I get this movie. And she really did. That was a cool feeling. ” Cheers to weekends like these, Ana. Can’t wait to learn more about the photo. I love the suspense of your blog. True talent.
I love days like that. :) My weekend was a blur of course work, but now I’m done ’til January.

Ah sounds lovely! Ours was busy, busy. My girl had a dance competition several hours away, so between that and travel time we weren’t home much. Sunday was quiet and at home though, and we woke up to a light dusting of snow, too!
I taught a class 1.5 hours away so my weekend was spent mostly on the road. I am looking forward to finding out how you made those words ;)
I miss completely venturing-out-free weekends. Mine was busy with a random guest, beers, tours, art-writing, thrifting and picture-taking. Never enough home-time for me!
I wish you could do that every weekend :) I know you’d love to!
Your weekend sounds like a dream! Something that makes for childhood memories and content parents.
I spent the night with an old friend. It was fabulous!
