though not yet for the outdoors
bring spring in sooner
late day sun beaming
through the glass panes and petals
makes moments linger…
sun setting quickly
but daffodils still beaming
one moment longer.

pretty! daffodils are one of my favourite flowers (though it’s really so hard to choose just one). they were selling them outside metro here too… next time I go I’ll have to make sure I have some change, I could really use a spot of brightness! :)
$7/bunch for a good cause, and they really do brighten up a home!
Ack! I’ve been haiku’d! lol Love it! Love daffodils, too. They practically shine with a light of their own.

Few things are as cheerful as a daffodil – beautiful shots, ana! To think Napoleon’s soldiers carried daff bulbs with them into battle to speed up a fatal injury is pretty amazing… if it’s true. Not positive, but it makes for a good story. :)
ann, i think i’ve heard that one now that you mention it. i’ve heard a few different stories and folklore about daffodils. i think i should gather them up together one day and see what more i can find out. so interesting, it’s obviously captured the imagination of others through the years…
