weekend in a nutshell

it was a soggy one. which is fine for the garden, except it delayed my plans to dig out and plant my new vegetable garden (i’m feeling brave and expanding on last year’s garden).

the rain is ok though, i’ll get out there to play soon enough…

    Wow! Beautiful picture. I just love those closeups. My garden is really soggy too. Was hoping to take my seedlings outdoors as they are outgrowing their indoor dome. I just emailed you a pic of my weekend project and then this appeared in my inbox. So funny!

    Love, love, love the photo. You are so talented. It reminds me of a comment by Sally Mann (if you google Sally Mann documentary on YouTube). She talked about becoming a photographer and how her dad gave her an art book when she was a child. She learned that tiny things, like bread crumbs, can become fascinating if you take a close look.

      thanks erin. being a canadian, you might understand this reference… do you remember owl magazine as a kid? they used to have a page dedicated to super-close-ups of objects, and you had to guess what it was. maybe that’s always stuck with me. i love the details…

    Great photo of the swirl of bright colours. The constant rain has been very frustrating for gardeners this spring.
