remember these?

saw the smurfs at an old drive-in. complete with popcorn and slushees (and mosquitos and second-hand smoke but nevermind that bit)…
also saw a beautiful sunset, distant lightening, a shooting star, and the kids pointed out the big dipper.
do you feel a bit sad that summer is drawing to an end? or are you ready for the change that september seems to bring?

Funny- my last post was of the drive-in, too! Tis the season, if you are lucky enough to be near one. I love your new header, btw- just gorgeous!
drive-in movies seem such a classic bit of fun and you had some other memorable extras too (hold the smoke pretty please)!
We’ve just had THE hottest July on record here in the DC Metropolitan area…August will tell if summer’s grip will loosen abit…altho typically that is the hottest haziest and most humid month for these parts…doesn’t feel like summer is winding down one bit…yet
hope your remaining summer days are extra lovely dear Ana!

I made a resolution this year to be uniquely grateful for every day I have and it has markedly changed my perception of the movement of time. No longer does one day go by too fast while the following might seem to drag. I have far fewer disappointments and far more memorable moments. So now regardless of the day I am happy to see it come and go. Indeed, I look forward to whatever the day may hold and only create a challenge when I am in the mood. In other words, change is welcome and I am always ready for it.
I still want to go wading in the shallows when I see your header. Summer here on the mountain is still in full swing even though school starts in two weeks. The thing about summer ending is football starts! I live in the state of Alabama, after all, where there is Auburn AND Alabama football.
I haven’t been to the drive-in in ages, even though there is one in my town. This makes me want to go, right away. Ah, summer.
is that the screen? how did you see a smurf on there? ;D
they are three apples high but it looked more like crabapples ;) nah, it wasn’t that bad.
