mr.madeItSo brought back some lovely alpaca yarn from a recent trip to ecuador. i’m using it to knit a cabled hat for myself. my goal is to finish it by friday. we’ll see…

as for the yarn, it’s surprisingly soft and has that certain bit of squishy bounce to it. it’s knitting up beautifully.
what are you working on?

I know exactly what you mean by squishy bounce!
I am working on keeping my sanity. :)
My cat ate part of my potato chip scarf (RIGHT when I was so.close to being done. *sniff* It’s alpaca. Baby alpaca. *sniff*) I don’t know how to proceed, so I just leave it to sit in my project bag. *sigh*
It’s going to look lovely on you! I am currently finishing up costumes. One railroad engineer and one Princess Peach!
I’m currently working on a bunch of baby stuff for a friend of mine due in January. Have the baby blanket almost done (it’s been epic), have almost completed a Baby Surprise Jacket and plan to do another hat and bootie set. I love alpaca. I think it’s my favourite fibre.
That is beautiful. I am infatuated with all kind of gray lately. ?
I’m working on a baby cardigan with fluffy organic cotton and a baby bib and mulling over which baby item to cast on next . . . thinking I better start the blanket if I plan to actually finish it in time. ;)
I have a couple of things on my needles: my first shawl and another pair of socks. And I’m redoing a pair of mittens, does that count?
I love that yarn- the hat should be just the thing for the cold weather. It seems there are lots of baby projects going around! I am working on fun woodland themed crafts for my baby shower…I keep thinking I should be making blankets or something useful (instead of tree-stump coasters!), but since I’m having fun with it, I’ll let it roll for now! :)
