woolly. neutral. comfy. warm. done.

well, only the blocking remains.
i used one partial skein of each colour. the brown was leftover from these socks, and the grey was a gift to me from jess. the sock recipe came from melissa morgan-oakes. remember when she visited the blog here during her book tour? you can read that here (in a new window), it was a lot of fun.

i like how it all came together, and i learned to knit stripes without the “step” that happens. here is a video that explains this technique, at around the one to five minute mark:
now i’ve got a couple more little-er socks to make, for two boys who put in their requests while i was knitting this pair. does that ever happen to you? no chance of my to-knit list ever being completed. i think that’s a good thing.
