seedy saturday

this weekend, mr.MadeItSo and the kids went to a local seed exchange.

they chatted with gardeners, beekeepers and farmers, and the kids made some crafts.

we’re now stocked up on some seeds for this year’s garden. i’m particularly excited about the local and heirloom varieties. i haven’t had much luck in the past growing veggies from seed, but i keep trying. one of these years, it will work.

Hi Ana! It’s great you are supporting seed diversity. Good luck with your garden this year. I usually buy some seedlings from a local nursery as well as starting seeds.

I’m so glad you found Halton Seedy Sat useful to get you in the growing mode. Good luck and thanks for the post. I shared it on Twitter @groweatlocal and there are some other event photos if you search #haltonseedysat but I really like yours :]
